Purpose: This AI Transparency Policy explains how PR Bot uses artificial intelligence, what decisions are automated, and your rights to understand and control AI-driven processes.
1. Human-First
Our production process involves human participation alongside AI. AI assists in content generation; our team is involved in reviewing output as part of our workflow.
2. Transparent
We tell you exactly what our AI does, what data it uses, and where its limitations are. No black boxes.
3. Your Data, Your Control
Your profile data is never sold or used to train AI models. You decide what the AI sees, and you can revoke access at any time.
4. Honest to Journalists
We never misrepresent AI-assisted content as purely human-written. Journalists always know when PR Bot facilitated a pitch.
5. Continuously Improving

We implement multiple security measures for AI systems:
PR Bot is classified as a limited-risk AI system under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689). PR Bot does not fall within any Annex III high-risk category (biometric identification, critical infrastructure, employment, essential services, law enforcement, migration, or administration of justice). As a limited-risk system, our obligations arise under Article 50 (transparency for AI-generated content).
Full enforcement of Article 50 transparency obligations takes effect August 2, 2026. PR Bot is proactively compliant ahead of this deadline and monitors the EU Commission's Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-Generated Content for additional guidance.
The following table summarizes our assessment of applicable AI regulations as of the date of this policy:
| Regulation | Status | PR Bot's Approach |
|---|---|---|
| EU AI Act (Article 50) | Limited risk; compliant | Machine-readable marking, journalist disclosure, human oversight |
| GDPR (Article 22) | Compliant | Right to explanation, human intervention available, DPAs with all processors |
| FTC Section 5 | Compliant | No deceptive AI claims; substantiated marketing; clear disclosure of AI involvement |
| California AB 2013 | Indirect (applies to AI providers) | Our AI providers are responsible for training data disclosures; we reference their compliance documentation |
| Colorado AI Act (SB 24-205) | Not applicable (PR pitches are not “consequential decisions”) | Voluntary alignment with best practices |
This table is provided for informational purposes. Regulatory landscapes evolve rapidly; we monitor applicable laws and update our practices accordingly. Nothing in this table constitutes legal advice or a guarantee of compliance with any specific jurisdiction's requirements.
In accordance with Section 5 of the FTC Act and guidance from the FTC's Operation AI Comply enforcement actions, PR Bot:
